FAQ: FAQ

WHAT ARE THE CLASS SIZES?

To ensure the safety of every child and to maximise peer-to-peer and teacher-child interaction, our Drama Classes are capped at 20 children per session, and our school holiday workshops at 25 children.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A CLASS?

If you are interested in joining a class, all you need to do is to visit our drama bookings or study skills page and click the BOOK NOW button on your class of choice.  This will take you to a Trybooking page where you can purchase your ticket.  If you have any questions that aren’t covered in the FAQs you can contact us anytime via email at info@makebelievers.com.au.

CAN I JOIN PART WAY THROUGH THE TERM?

If there are spaces available we are happy to accommodate late bookings.  Just Contact Us or via email at info@makebelievers.com.au with your request and we will get back to you with availability and fee adjustment advice.

WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?

This is where Make Believers are really in a class of our own.  The Co-Founders and Directors are both teachers with over 35 years of combined experience in classroom teaching and educational leadership.  We both hold a number of University degrees in Arts and Education, are registered teachers, and also hold current WWCCs.  You can read more about us here

WHAT SHOULD I BRING/WEAR?

Whatever’s comfy to move and play in!  Most children will come straight from school so will be wearing whatever they wore during the day/their uniform, and this is fine.  Children can either wear their runners or bare feet but we ask them not to be in socks to avoid slipping.

WHEN ARE FEES DUE?

We have moved to a Trybooking ticketing system where tickets to termly classes and workshops are pre-booked and paid for.

DO YOU OFFER DISCOUNTS?

At Make Believers we give everyone our absolute best price, therefore we don’t have an earlybird price.  We do offer a %15 family discount for multiple enrolments. From time to time we launch special deals such as ‘bring a friend for free’ so keep an eye out on our Facebook or Instagram pages!

DO YOU PUT ON A PERFORMANCE EACH TERM?

No, we don't put on shows/performances at Make Believers.  Our classes and workshops focus on building life skills through drama games and activities.  Our mission is to help young people connect with and be their authentic selves, rather than to perform.  We don't judge or critique, we support and affirm.  We love to play and pretend but the most interesting characters we can be are ourselves!

DOES MY CHILD NEED TO HAVE DONE ACTING BEFORE?

Absolutely not.  Whilst acting school may not be for everyone, drama skills are!  By joining in a range of dramatic activities such as role-playing, improvisation, and concept building, we can develop skills of creative thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, empathy, and build self-confidence - all super important for everyone - in school, friendships, and life.

CAN I USE MY CREATIVE KIDS VOUCHER TO TAKE $50 OFF THE PRICE OF MY FEES?

As a registered provider for the Creative Kids program, you can redeem your voucher with us for our Term Classes. For more information regarding the Creative Kids program, visit service.nsw.gov.au.

Once you have applied for and received your voucher, all you need to do is to write the voucher number in the field provided in our Booking Form.
